2/4-WIRE LOOP TEST SYSTEM
LEASED LINE TESTING

Models 51950 & 51951 Test Sets
| The Model 51950 Test System enables rapid single-person testing of leased or private-line
circuits between a control/monitoring center and its remote sites. |
| The 51950 can be configured for measuring both the transmit and receive losses of either 2- or 4-wire loops. In applications
where a loop is transported over multiple spans, each span can be individually tested by installing several units. Repair services can be rapidly
dispatched to the problem area the first time.
Alarm sense leads can also be remotely checked by the 51950.

Typical Multi-Span Test
System Application
The 51950 is a dedicated test system that checks for transmission loss or failure over
circuits with either 2-wire or 4-wire analog interface access points. Using a PC, a technician can activate an audio level test between the base
unit and any of its remotes. Transmission loss is reported in dB's for both directions of the line under test. In applications where multiple
remotes are placed on the same loop, each remote can be tested separately. Each unit also contains multiple sense leads that can be checked via the
PC over the existing loops.
