Model 41404 Line Guard

The Proctor Model 41404 Line Guard privacy module can be used in the office to assign priority access to a selected group of telephones when two groups of phones connect to the same line. The priority group of telephones is given uninterrupted use of the phone line once one of its phones or devices accesses it. The other group of phones can only use the line when all the priority group phones are on-hook.

How It Works

The 41403 installs in series with the tip and ring at a terminal location common to two groups of telephones or devices. It restricts an entire group of phones or devices from accessing a line already in use by phone devices in the other group. Group '1' phones/devices will always have access to the line; Group '2' phones/devices can only access the line when not already in use by Group '1', or when Group '1' "Hook Flashes" them in. 41404 modules may be cascaded to provide different levels of priority for selected groups.
